Established in 2000, DYSO was created as an outlet for students in the Dublin Orchestra program desiring a challenge above and beyond their regular classroom learning. Through its first 20 seasons, DYSO has grown to include over 100 members and has been recognized as an exemplary youth orchestra program. The DYSO program now brings together students from all three Dublin high schools, all five Dublin middle schools, and several Dublin elementary schools, in the combined pursuit of musical excellence.

Chamber Music Connection is an organization based in Worthington that offers students the opportunity to perform in a small-group chamber ensemble like a trio, quartet, or quintet. Participating students receive weekly coaching in ensemble skills and personalized instruction to meet their musical goals! |
The Columbus Symphony has multiple youth orchestras for middle school students. Auditions for all groups take place in early May.
Junior strings is available for students in grades 3-7, Chamber Strings for students in grades 6-9, and the Repertory Orchestra is for students in grades 7-10. |
Students entering grades 8-12 are eligible to audition for the YPCO. This full orchestra experience includes two concert mini-seasons each year (September-November, January-March). Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at Otterbein University in Westerville.
